Check your Fire TV before downloading
This installation guide is for Android-based Fire OS devices that permit APK installation. Fire TV is a device family, not a guarantee that every model uses the same operating system.
The Android APK is not a Vega OS app. Do not use these steps for a Vega-based Fire TV Stick, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Select. Check the operating system and exact generation in your device information before trying to install.
Amazon documents the distinction between Fire OS and Vega OS. When unsure, send Support your model and OS version before buying app access.
Install the official app
Get Downloader on the TV
Search your TV’s Amazon Appstore for Downloader by AFTVnews. Use the official app, not an unrelated download service.
Enter the Nerdy Popcorn download code
Open Downloader, enter 3041872 and follow the download prompt. This public download code gets the installer; it is not your private activation code.
Review the installation permission
If Fire OS asks, open its installation settings and allow Downloader to install this app, then return and select Install. Menu names vary by model. Do not disable unrelated device protections or bypass an explicit security block.
Open Nerdy Popcorn
Open the installed app. You can connect your own authorized source in free mode or activate the full-access trial using the code in your Nerdy Popcorn account.
Skip the long URLs on your TV remote
Create a free account, open Activation Codes and choose Add setup to code on the unused trial code. Enter your own Xtream Codes or M3U details, organize the categories and favourites you want, then choose Save setup on this code on Review. Enter that activation code on the intended TV.
Already activated? Use My Devices → Edit Setup. After saving, open Settings → Sync & Backup → Sync setup on the TV, check for changes, review the destination and choose Apply changes. Saving on the website and applying on the TV are separate steps.

Before you get started
Does Nerdy Popcorn include channels?
No. It is a player, not a television service. Bring sources you are authorized to use. App access does not buy provider access.
When does the trial start?
New accounts receive one seven-day full-access trial for one supported device. The timer starts when the trial activation code is first used, not when you register. No payment method is required for that trial.
What happens after the trial?
Free mode remains available. Monthly, annual and Lifetime options are listed on the current pricing page. Choose only after confirming the app works with your device and sources.
What if the installation or playlist fails?
Check the exact model, OS, available storage and displayed error. Keep any existing working app data intact. If installation permissions are unavailable, use official device support rather than repeated resets. For playlist errors, check the source’s credentials and expiry; never email passwords or private stream URLs.
