Overview

Nerdy Popcorn ("we", "us", "our") operates the Nerdy Popcorn application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

User-Provided Information

• IPTV Sources: URLs and credentials you add. They remain on your device unless you deliberately save or attach a managed setup through the account console. Managed-setup credentials are encrypted before cloud storage.
• Cloud Sync and Setup Data: Device names, activation codes, selected categories, favourites, recent channels, playback progress, preferences, and settings that you choose to sync.
• Account and Support Information: Your email address, display name, subscription references, devices, support requests, and our responses.
• Billing Information: Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, payment-status, cancellation, and promotion-code references. Stripe processes full payment-card details; Nerdy Popcorn does not store them.

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device model, OS version, and app version.
• Operational Information: Request timestamps, app versions, device status, download completion, and error details needed to operate and secure the service.
• Website Usage: Pages viewed, visit and engagement counts, referring website, campaign labels, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, and app download activity. Anonymous browser and session identifiers help us count visits without using advertising cookies.
• Approximate Location: Country, region, and city inferred by our hosting provider from a network request. We use this for aggregate traffic and download reporting, not precise tracking.
• Network Information: Hosting and security providers may process your IP address when you access the website or APIs. Nerdy Popcorn converts network identifiers used for analytics into one-way hashes and does not retain the raw address in its analytics records.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Passwords in plaintext.
• Detailed browsing history beyond IPTV.
• Full payment-card details; Stripe handles payment information for new subscriptions.
• Precise GPS location.
• Camera or microphone recordings.

How We Use Your Information

1. Cloud Sync: Store your recent channels and watch progress across devices.
2. Account and Billing: Provide activation codes, subscription access, renewals, cancellations, and customer support.
3. Reliability and Security: Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect accounts and services.
4. Service Analytics: Understand which website pages and installation options are useful, measure completed app downloads, and improve the customer experience.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data Storage

• Local Storage: The app stores source and preference data on your device.
• Cloud Storage: Account, setup, subscription, support, and sync data may be processed by Supabase, Vercel, DigitalOcean, Stripe, WooCommerce for legacy subscriptions, and Resend in the regions where those providers operate.
• Retention: We retain account, operational, and aggregate analytics data while needed to provide and improve the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.
• Deletion: You may request account deletion by contacting us. Some records may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is legally required.

Third-Party Services

Nerdy Popcorn uses Supabase for account and database services, Vercel for website hosting, Stripe for checkout, subscription billing, invoices, payment methods, refunds, and the secure billing portal, WooCommerce for legacy subscription records, Resend for transactional email, DigitalOcean for app backend services, Android Media3/ExoPlayer for playback, and the IPTV provider you choose. These providers process information under their own privacy terms.

Stripe may send payment and refund receipts directly. Nerdy Popcorn may use Resend to send password, activation-code, renewal, payment-failure, cancellation, and support emails needed to provide the service.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption, including HTTPS/TLS, for data transmission. No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, protecting your IPTV credentials, and reporting security issues to us.

Children's Privacy

Nerdy Popcorn is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
